Leadership
Planting Pastor: Dom Fiocco

Previously Dom worked in a chartered accounting firm in Sydney. In the mid-90s he trained at Moore Theological College in Sydney. He has previously ministered at two churches in Canberra: Crossroads Christian Church (1999 – 2002) & Woden Valley Bible Church (2003 – present).
Dom has been in Canberra since 1999 with his family. He is married to Leslie & they have three beautiful girls (14, 12 & 8 – those are their ages not their names!).
Having previously planted Woden Valley Bible Church in 2003, Dom is committed to seeing further non-denominational evangelical churches planted on the Canberra landscape. Lakeside was planted in February 2010 with a team of godly men & women.
Associate Pastor: Steve Boxwell
Steve is married to Anna.
Children’s and Youth Pastor: Phill Evans
G’day, my name is Phill and I have the pleasure of working alongside the youth and children’s leaders at Lakeside. Officially, I am the Children and Youth Pastor. I lead, build, equip and care for the leaders serving in these valuable areas of ministry – something that I cherish as a great privilege. Unofficially, I’m here to have a good time with the other leaders watching the children grapple with God’s Word and growing in their faith in the Lord Jesus. My wife and two daughters join me at the Saturday Woden Valley Bible Church gathering as our family fellowship.
Leadership Team
Lakeside is governed by a leadership team made up of Dom Fiocco, Steve Boxwell, Andrew Roberts and Paul Ang
Prayer and Accountability Group
Why a Prayer & Accountability Group?
Because the Bible Church Fellowship (Woden Valley Bible Church, Café Bible Church and Lakeside Bible Church) is not linked to any denominational structure or hierarchy we have formed a group of godly men and women to help us function as God intends. The Prayer & Accountability Group (P & A Group) does not operate as “bishops” or a “presbytery”, but as people who are committed to prayer and holding the leadership and pastors of the Bible Churches accountable to the Word of God. The P & A Group consists of mature Christian leaders and pastors who are widely respected in evangelical circles. The members of the P & A Group do not attend or belong to any of the Bible Churches. The P & A Group do not have to meet together and they do not have any decision-making power over the Bible Church Fellowship.
Who makes up the P & A Group?
Dick and Jane Buesnel: Tathra, NSW – (Evangelical) Uniting Church
Bob and Jenny Edwards: Canberra, ACT – Crossroads Christian Church (non-denominational)
Kel Willis: Sydney, NSW – Burwood Baptist Church
Bob and Evelyn Prior: Canberra, ACT – Dickson Baptist Church
Peter and Anna Gobbo: Canberra, ACT – Tuggeranong Presbyterian Church
